ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Established in 2002, this department was initially being called as Centre for industrial consultancy, research and development.

The department has been renamed as Quality Maintenance & Technical Services (Electrical) in 2013.

Quality maintenance in a nutshell, is establishment of conditions that will preclude the occurrence of equipment failure thus improving the quality of dependant services.

The department interalia does the following activities.

• Upkeep of campus electrics, air conditioning systems, UPS systems, lifts, fire fighting equipment and back up Diesel generating systems in Gayatri institutions
• Upkeep and operation of 100  k W p grid tied solar power system at GVPCE.
• Preparing for the installation of a (grid independent) 200   k W p hybrid power system at GVPCE
• Coordination with electricity supply provider (APEPDCL) on issues related to power quality, billing etc. of Gayatri institutions.
• Planning for future load growth and up gradation of electrics in Gayatri institutions.
• Interacting gainfully with industry for knowledge sharing.
