Prof (Dr.) S.N. Singh
Dr. S.N. Singh was born in Varanasi in the year 1943. He obtained B.Sc. Engg. (Electrical Engg.) and M. Sc. Engg. (Electrical Machines) both from Banaras Hindu University in the year 1967 and 1969 respectively.
He obtained his Ph. D. in Electrical Drives and Power Electronics in 1983 from Roorkee University.
As specialist in Power Electronics and Drives, Electrical Machines, Energy Technology and Management, Dr. Singh has served for about four decades of teaching, research and administration in various capacities as Lecturer, Reader and Professor & Head and Director at ITBHU, Roorkee University ,BVS Purvanchal University.GL Bajaj ITM, IECCET etc
Professor Singh has 80 plus technical papers published and presented in both International and National Journals and Conferences.
He has also authored Books titled 'A text Book on Power Electronics'. Electrr
Dr. Singh is a recipient of Dr. A.N. Khosla research silver medal and cash prize and certificates twice and commendation certificate of merit from the Institution of Engineers (India). Dr. Singh is a Chartered Engineer (India) , fellow of IE (India), life member of ISTE, IAQR, and a consultant & expert member to the several organizations like Indian Railways, BHEL, small scale industries and several Govt. committees like AICTE, UGC, UPPSC etc.
After superannuation from ITBHU in the year 2005, Dr. Singh has served as Director G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management, and others
