PROGRAMME :  B.Tech (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)
The Graduates of EEE will be able to:

PSO-1

Specify, analyze power systems that efficiently generate, transmit, distribute via EMS to utilize electrical power and energy.

PSO-2

Understand the principles and construction of Electrical Machines (EM), develop models for the EM and its associated speed controls for their performance through testing.

PSO-3

Analyze, Solve and test electronics and control electric drive systems using the state of the art solid state control and other components and software tools.

 

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
The Graduates of EEE will be able to:


PEO-1: Engage in design of systems, tools and applications in the field of electrical and electronics engineering and allied engineering.


PEO-2: Solve problems of social relevance, pursue higher education and research applying the knowledge of electrical and electronics engineering


PEO-3: Work effectively with high ethical values, as individuals and as team members in multidisciplinary projects


PEO-4: Engage in lifelong learning, career enhancement, and adopt to changing technologies and societal needs.

 

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)
The student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the end of the program will be able to:


PO-1: Apply the knowledge of basic sciences and electrical and electronics engineering fundamentals to solve the problems of power systems and drives.

PO-2: Analyze power systems that efficiently generate, transmit and distribute electrical power in the context of present Information and Communications Technology.

PO-3: Design and develop electrical machines and associated controls with due considerations to societal and environmental issues.

PO-4: Design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret experimental data for performance analysis.

PO-5: Apply appropriate simulation tools for modeling and evaluation of electrical systems.

PO-6: Apply the electrical engineering knowledge to assess the health and safety issues and their consequences.

PO-7: Demonstrate electrical engineering principles for creating solutions for sustainable development.

PO-8: Develop a techno ethical personality that help to serve the people in general and Electrical and Electronics Engineering in particular.

PO-9: Develop leadership skills and work effectively in a team to achieve project objectives.

PO-10: Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

PO-11: Understand the principles of management and finance to manage project in multi disciplinary environments.

PROGRAMME :  M.TECH. (POWER SYSTEM AND CONTROL AUTOMATION)

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)
The Graduates of EEE will be able to:

PSO-1

Specify and analyze power systems to prepare models with any kind of relevance for off and on line purposes.

PSO-2

Specify, model, test and implement power systems and associated controllers using the state of the art components and software tools.

 

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
After 3-5 years of graduation the graduate shall be able to :


PEO-1: Apply principles of power system control and automation to solve electrical power industry problems.

PEO-2: Undertake either fundamental research or research in practical applications in electrical power systems.

PEO-3: Exhibit leadership skills and effective communication to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.

PEO-4: Become socially and ethically responsible and pursue life-long learning.


PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)
The Graduate will be able to:


PO-1: Acquire in depth knowledge in the area of power system control and automation.

PO-2: Attain the ability to prepare models with respect to any kind of problem on hand and try to solve related to power system control and automation.

PO-3: Obtain the capability of problem solving and original thinking to arrive at feasible and optimal solutions considering societal and environmental factors.

PO-4: Have sufficient knowledge base, sufficient to apply the techniques and tools to solve power system problems.

PO-5: Use the state-of-the-art tools for modeling, simulation and analysis of problems related to power systems.

PO-6: Attain the capability to contribute positively to collaborative and multidisciplinary research to achieve common goals.

PO-7: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of power system engineering and management principles and apply the same for efficiently carrying out projects with due consideration to economical and financial factors.

PO-8: Communicate confidently, make effective presentations and write good reports to engineering community and society.

PO-9: Recognize the need for life-long learning and have the ability to do it independently.

PO-10: Become socially responsible and follow ethical practices to contribute to the community for sustainable development of society.

PROGRAMME :  M.TECH. (Power Electronics and Drives)

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)
The Graduates of EEE will be able to:

PSO-1

Specify, architect, develop models and analyze systems that efficiently generate, transmit, distribute and utilize electrical power, which may include renewable energy sources & energy storage devices, while maintaining power quality.

PSO-2

Specify, design, prototype and test modern power electronic systems that have applications to modern industry for improving energy efficiency and power quality.

 

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO’s)

The Graduate will be able to:

 

PEO-1: Apply fundamental principles of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mathematical Sciences relevant to Electric Power & Energy related industries and institutions.

PEO-2: Undertake research in the emerging areas of Power Semi-conductor Devices, Static Power Electronic Converters, with applications in Electrical Drives, High Voltage Power Systems and Power Supplies.

 

PEO-3: Apply leadership skills through effective communication and work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.


PEO-4: Exhibit ethical values, social responsibilities and life-long learning ability through professional bodies encouraged during their study in the college campus.


PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (PO’s)

The Graduate will be able to:

 

PO-1: Be a professional workforce in the areas of “Static Power Electronics Converters”, “Power Electronic Converter fed Electrical Drives” and “Power Quality”

PO-2: Apply soft computing techniques for Power Electronic Systems and Electric Drives.

PO-3: Understand large scale Power Electronic Converter Systems, Electric Drives and issues involved through Modeling, Analysis and Simulation.

PO-4: Apply present day techniques and tools to solve Power electronic and electric drives problems relevant to India and other countries.

PO-5: Use state-of-the-art simulation tools such as PLEXIM, SABER, OPAL-RT Lab, DSPACE, MULTISIM, LABVIEW and other Tools.

PO-6: Be capable of contribute positively to collaborative and multidisciplinary research to achieve common goals.

PO-7: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of power engineering and management principles and apply the same for efficiently carrying out projects with due consideration to economical and financial factors.

PO-8: Communicate confidently, make effective presentations and write good reports to engineering community and society.
