ABOUT COLLEGE:

The Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering was established on 16th December,1996 with four engineering branches of Electrical, Mechanical,Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

In the year 1999, the Civil Engineering and Information Technology branches were added followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 2000. PG Programmes in all the accredited branches along with MCA have been sanctioned by AICTE-JNTU in the year 2004. Presently the college is offering 13 different PG programs in 7 branches of Engineering. The College is accredited by NAAC with 'A' grade in 2009. The College is atop the four of 700 self financed Engineering Colleges in the combined Andhra Pradesh to receive funding of Rs. 4.0 crores under S.C.1.2 of TEQIP-II for scaling up the Post Graduate Education and Research. The GVP College of Engineering was granted autonomy and successfully completed 6 years.

ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electrical Engineering was started in the year 1996. The Department of Electrical Engineering offers an Undergraduate program in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and two Post-graduate programs with specialization of Power Systems & Control `Automation and Power Electronics & Drives. The department is accredited by N.B.A in 2011. Placement for all the graduates since inception has been very good. Many of the alumni are pursuing M.Tech in IITs, NITs, M.S abroad and in good positions in reputed organizations
